Install Real World Player
- Once the Chrome Web Store listing is approved, open its link from the WBTRW community or this website.
- Select Add to Chrome and confirm Chrome's permission prompt.
- Open the Welcome Back to the Real World community in Chrome, or refresh it if it is already open.
- Look for the small music-note button and select a playlist.
Play a community collection
Open the music panel from the button inside WBTRW. Choose Rock, Lo-Fi, Dance, Chill, Focus or Worship. The selected YouTube video or playlist opens in an embedded video player within the Skool page. Depending on Chrome or YouTube's playback rules, you may need to press Play in the video.
Add your own YouTube playlist
- Open Add YouTube playlist in the music panel.
- Paste a YouTube video or public playlist link and optionally name it.
- Save your selection. The extension keeps the name and URL in local Chrome extension storage on this device.
- To remove a saved item, use its remove control in the panel.
Mini player
Select Mini to shrink the same visible YouTube video without creating a second embed. Drag the mini player by its upper toolbar. Select Expand to return to the larger view. The player stays within the current Skool tab; it is not a separate always-on-top desktop window. A full page reload can interrupt playback.
Common questions
Why don't I see the music button?
Real World Player is designed to display its music button only on WBTRW community pages in Skool. Confirm that the extension is enabled in chrome://extensions, visit the correct community and refresh the page.
A video does not play or starts with a second click
Some videos do not permit embedded playback, or Chrome may require a direct user interaction before autoplay with sound. Press Play inside the YouTube player, or choose another public video or playlist.
What does YouTube error 153 mean?
YouTube may reject embedded playback when it cannot identify the referring page. Use the current Mini mode rather than an older separate floating-window version, refresh Skool and try again.
Why did the music stop while navigating?
The player is attached to the active Skool page. A complete page reload, closing the tab or navigating outside WBTRW can interrupt or end playback.
Where are my playlists stored?
Personal playlist names and YouTube URLs are saved locally using Chrome extension storage. They are not uploaded to a Real World Player server. Your browser profile and device control access to this storage.
Can I use it on mobile?
This version is intended for desktop Google Chrome and is not a feature of the Skool mobile app.
Independent community companion
Real World Player is an independent WBTRW community tool. It is not made by or affiliated with Google, YouTube or Skool. YouTube videos are provided directly by YouTube and remain subject to its terms, availability and advertising.
